The largest of the fractional-ounce Proof American Eagle Gold Coins is the 1/2 oz gold option and it was also the first of the coins introduced. Obverse

The obverse side of 2020-W Proof American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins bears the image of Lady Liberty. This design was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and was one of several he submitted to the US Mint for consideration on redesigned American circulation coins. It was chosen for the $20 Gold Double Eagle and featured on that coin from 1907 to 1933.

Reverse

On the reverse of 2020-W Proof American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins is an exclusive design you wont find on another US Mint specimen. The coins feature a family of American bald eagles in and around the nest. In the nest, a female and a hatchling rest. Above the nest, a male flies overhead with its wings spread wide. Miley Busiek created this design in 1986 for the American Eagle Gold Coins.
