The obverse design of the 2015 Proof Colorized Australian Lunar Goat 1/2 oz Silver Coin features the right-profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created in 1998 by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. This famous image is the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II to be depicted on coinage in Britain and the commonwealth.
Reverse Design
The reverse design of the 2015 Proof Colorized Australian Lunar Goat 1/2 oz Silver Coin features the Year of the Goat artwork. This design depicts a peaceful herd of three goats, standing in a field under the shade of a tree. The ram has a lovely dark brown coat with patches of white on him. The female is shown with a lush white coat, while the grazing youngster is shown with a copper-colored coat. Year of the Goatalong with the Chinese symbol for goat are also featured on the reverse design.
