The 2015 Australian Lunar Goat 1 oz Silver Coin features the 8th design released in the Lunar Series II collection and celebrates the Year of the Goat. Each of the coins contains 1 oz of .999 pure silver, which makes them highly collectible amongst investors and collectors of this series.
Coin Highlights:

Obverse
The obverse design of the 2015 Australian Lunar Goat 1 oz Silver Coin features the right-profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait was designed by famed sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley and has appeared on Australian coinage since 1998. The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II has appeared on Australian coinage since she took the throne in 1952, after the death of her father, King George VI.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2015 Australian Lunar Goat 1 oz Silver Coin was designed to depict the Year of the Goat. In the image, three goats are shown serenely grazing in a field under a tree. A ram, ewe and a youngster are shown. Also engraved on the coin are the words Year of the Goat beneath the depiction of the goat. Above the goats is the Chinese symbol for goat.
The Perth Mint introduced the Lunar II Series in 2008, with the release of the 20008 Year of the Rat coin. Those born in the Year of the Goat are said to be elegant, artistic, empathetic and calm.
