History
Only four surviving copies of the original Metropolis movie poster by Heinz Schulz-Nuedamm exist today. One is housed in the prestigious Museum of Modern Art, another in the Austrian National Library Museum, and rumors swirl that Leonardo DiCaprio himself owns a copy. The fourth and final copy was sold at the LA auction to Ralph DeLuca for $1.2 million. Thanks to the film’s copyright expiration at the start of 2023, this captivating copper bar has become a reality.
