If you purchase a 1 oz Copper 2018 Baseball Treasure Round Pack, you will receive an individual 1 Troy oz copper round that is packaged in a blind pack that includes a baseball player-card style holder. The holder looks just like baseball cards and includes a capsule space for the copper round. Provident Metals cannot guarantee a particular player on the copper round you receive. All rounds are packaged in the card in a blind pack. You wont know what player and team you have until it is opened. As such, if you purchase multiples you may receive all matching or several matching copper rounds as part of your order.
Obverse
Obverse design elements of the 1 oz Copper 2018 Baseball Treasure Rounds include the portrait of an MLB player. The players portrait is set in the center of the obverse field of the copper round and is based on a photograph of the individual. Inscriptions on this face of the copper round identify the player, that individuals team, and their position on the field of play.
Reverse
For the reverse side of 1 oz Copper 2018 Baseball Treasure Rounds, the player is again depicted in the center. This time the player is shown in an action shot with the statistics of that individual from the 2017 MLB season inscribed on the round.
History
2018 Baseball Treasure Rounds are much like actual baseball player cards in design. If you were to purchase a pack of MLB player cards, you wouldnt know the exact players you will receive until you open the pack and thumb through the cards. Further, player cards typically feature a portrait photo of the player on one side with logos for the team, a name, and a position printed. The other side typically offers an action shot of the player and statistics from a particular season or for that players career-to-date are often shown. These copper rounds are no different in approach.
While copper rounds are the primary focus of the 2018 Baseball Treasure Collection, the series also features unique chase coins. These include a .999 pure silver coin with the same obverse and reverse designs of the copper round and an Aaron Judge gold coin marking his 2017 rookie homerun record of 52 homers in one season. These coins are chase coins because there is no guarantee and the number available are rare.
